Helping you on your way to understanding your brain

Dita Pesek

I am a qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist, NLP practitioner, and Life Coach practising from London.  I specialise with anxieties, phobias, fears and confidence issues. Registered with NCH (National Council for Hypnotherapy), I practise from Ealing (West London), and also provide hypnotherapy and coaching services online via Skype for clients in US and Asian.

An interest in the human mind led me to study Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP. I’m always in search of new techniques and approaches. I believe in simplicity. Many therapeutic approaches can be overcomplicated and get the client dependent on the therapy. I’m interested in finding out how a client’s brain operates, how it creates issues and teach the client how to turn their brain into a friend.

My constant quest for knowledge and exploration has led me to gain experience in a variety of other fields. In my early twenties, I studied film directing, worked for TV and on film sets. Later on, working as one of the directors for two seasons of Big Brother. It was a great experience and despite deciding to leave this industry, I still make one short film every five years.
After parting from the entertainment industry I studied Cognitive Hypnotherapy at The Quest Institute (Regent’s University London), a progressive school for hypnotherapists that encourages an open-minded approach, forward thinking and client-focused therapy. It’s not only a school but also a community of therapists who learn from each other’s experience and knowledge.

My specialism in anxieties, phobias and fears led me to understands that your brain is not always your friend. As someone who suffered from anxieties, I know what it means to deal with your brain sabotaging you and that you can’t achieve recovery just only by positive thinking, which at times seems to be the approach prescribed by some therapist. There were times when I needed help myself and talking to therapists who never went through these states, I realised they never really understood the complexity of this issue.

Many of my clients come from West London and nearby areas. In some cases, only a few therapy sessions are required, but I find that many of my clients turn to long term coaching and therapy for ongoing personal and business development.

Currently, I’m writing a book about how to control our minds.
